Hi- Greetings from Gayle Smith- 40 years seems impossible. I am a nurse in a doctor's office, John is an engineer, Nikki, now 35, went to Iowa State and graduated in December of 1995. She lived in San Francisco for seven years and now lives in St. Charles, IL with her husband, Natalie, 4, Nathan, 2 1/2, and baby number 3 coming in December. Neil graduated from western Illinois University in 1992 and lives in Champaign, IL, with his wife, Nick, 13, and Brooke, 7. Hope everyone had a great time at the reunion.

update from Jane McCormick Coughlin

I hope the reunion was a lot of fun and was sorry I missed it.  Once again my visit to Iowa preceded our reunion by a month.  The McCormick family reunion took place in Mt. P over July 4th.  Had a great time and enjoyed seeing one of my favorite cousins, Jerry P.  This picture was taken on July 3rd at Butch's in Oakland Mills.  Another favorite cousin, 93 year old Marguerite Mertens, treated my sister Ann and I to lunch there.  I did not take the suggestion on the menu for maybe ordering a half tenderloin.  It was gargantuan and delicious!

Just a quick update on my life--I retired a year ago after teaching for 34 years.  I'm now enjoying a very flexible schedule and am working toward finding some interesting part time pursuits.  Jim and I traveled to Turkey last October. We had a great time and it was so nice to do some traveling in the fall.

update from Judy Doschadis Weber

Hello from Judy Doschadis Weber.... Would like to say Hi to all classmates from MPHS & thank you for always thinking of me for your reunions... it means alot! I am busy working for our concrete business, many exhausting hours, but grateful we are busy during these uncertain economic times. I still do some graphic design projects & draw/paint when I can. My sons Matt (no spouse at this time) & Scott (wife Jen) each have 2 daughters! The 4 girls are great fun to be with & love 'em to pieces! Dave & I work hard, have a nice home, great friends, & get to go on wonderful (much needed) vacations. Our health is good & hope it stays that way! (Actually, my life is much more complicated but don't want to bore you with details, HA!) Would love to hear from MPHS classmates.
Take care & hope all of you have a great time being together at your reunion!

Update from Penny Vaughan

Hope to see everyone this weekend.
The news from me is that I am teaching in 2 HS alternative programs - English/Technical Communications and Career Advising - in Des Moines Public Schools at Central Campus High School - yes the one that looks like a prison while you are on the way to the airport. Students are in the trades areas - welding, home building, painting and drywall, culinary arts, agriculture and horticulture. They love English! Ha! I know most teachers are already retired at this age. I am just getting back into the teaching field. High school kids keep you young! I love this job - interesting people and great variety.
My husband, Jeff, and I live in Ankeny. He is looking for a sales, marketing, or product planning role with any firm after a short-lived stint in Michigan with Whirlpool after 35 years with Amana and Maytag! Please send contacts and we'll send info. Will relocate.
Our daughters are launched in the world - Sara, 30, has been an agent, CLU, and now is a sales trainer for New York Life in Toledo, Ohio and Emily, 25, is a CPA for RSM McGladrey in tax services in Des Moines. Our son, Cliff, lives in Columbus, OH with wife, Susan, and two kids, 14 and 12. They lead a very busy life.
Looking forward to our gathering. See you soon.

 Sincerely,
Penny Vaughan
